Samaritan College is a three-campus, Reception to Year 12 Catholic Education school in Whyalla.

The Samaritan College Band Programme is a wonderful opportunity for students to learn & grow in a
musical environment - where they not only develop techniques on their chosen instrument -
but also teamwork, communication, flexibility, resilience and an overarching sense of fun!

In 2024 - for the seventh consecutive year - Stormfront created, coordinated & directed this exciting programme!

The Samaritan College Band Programme is open to students in years 4 and above across all three campuses.

Students learn Flute, Clarinet, Alto Saxophone, Guitar, Bass Guitar, Drums and Percussion, with opportunities to
also play Keyboard, Ukulele and Sing, enjoying a diverse repertoire and performance opportunities during the year.

This year also saw our introduction of the Windstars Year 4 Programme enabling
young Woodwinders to learn their craft on cool TOOTS & DOODS instead of needing
to instantly enter the Band Programme on difficult full-sized Clarinets and Flutes.

In 2024 our Band's main performance focus was the triennual "Samaritan Spectacular" event at
Middleback Arts Centre, with members also participating in a host of other great performances and opportunities
including the rampagingly successful "Samaritan Shines", McHappy Day and Samaritan Prize Night.

September 11th and 12th saw our Woodwind Ensemble entertaining with a
2-song set at Middleback Theatre as Guest Act on the annual
Whyalla Combined Primary Schools Choir concert.

We thank Samaritan Band Alumni Isabella for joining us on Clarinet!
